Shri Vinod Kumar started his career in this year by joining a private structural engineering firm, situated at Siliguri, West Bengal.

Soon in this year, he was elevated to the post of Director of the company. He was associated with many structural works in Lower Lagyap Hydel Project, Sikkim, fabrication and erection of Tail Race Gates in Jaldhaka Hydel Project.

After founding Steelworks & Power Engineers Pvt. Ltd. in this year, Shri Vinod Kumar continued working in Lower Lagyap Hydel Project, Chukha Hydel Project and many other structural and irrigation projects. He even executed the construction of the Trash Rack and Control Gates in an irrigation project, done by CWC Bhutan Irrigation Division.

The next milestone he achieved was founding a workshop at Siliguri, West Bengal in this year in the name of S. A. Industries and serving the needs of Indian Army for specialized tubular structures, CPWD Steel Bridges, Gates, and Penstocks etc.

In this year, Shri Vinod Kumar put his foot forward to the strategically business association with local contractors of Sikkim. The construction of penstocks, intake gates, trash rack, expansion joints, Water conductor systems etc., Upper Rongnichu Hydel project, Miangchu Hydel project, Rabamchhu Hydel project, Rellichu Hydro Electric Project (West Sikkim) are some of the important projects that have been handled under his management.

During this period, the company was being operated from Siliguri, West Bengal and involved in the fabrication of Tunneling formwork system for its esteemed customers like HCC Ltd. & Gammon India Ltd. for their projects in Sikkim, Bhutan & West Bengal. Some other steel structural works at Kurichu and Tala hydro-electric projects (Bhutan), Purulia Pump Storage Project in West Bengal were also executed.

In this year, another workshop was set in Hanumangarh, aimed to deliver its services to its customers in their projects in Northern India.

We are proud to announce that some of the works, like Hydro-mechanical package of Bhilangana-III HEP, Steel girders for Santa Cruz – Chembur Link Road, Works for Delhi Metro, Steel Bridge Girders Fabrication & Erection for NH-41, Shillong Highway Project and the much prestigious Steel Liner for Punatsangchhu-1 Hydroelectric Project have been appreciated and awarded.

Two more workshops at Fatakpur in West Bengal and at Alwar in Rajasthan have been established. Ever since its establishment, Steelworks & Power Engineers Pvt.
